چکیده

Background Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) including adenosine perfusion and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) at 1.5 Tesla (T) has been established for noninvasive detection of relevant coronary artery disease (CAD). However, little is known about the potential advantages of 3.0-T to detect CAD. The aim of our prospective study was to compare a compiled clinical routine CMR protocol performed at both 1.5-T and 3.0-T in patients with suspected CAD undergoing coronary x-ray angiography.

Adenosine-perfusion at 1.5 Tesla is superior to 3 Tesla for the detection of coronary artery disease

Background To compare a compiled clinical routine cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) protocol performed at both 1.5-T and 3.0-T in patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) undergoing coronary x-ray angiography. CMR including adenosine perfusion and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) at 1.5-T has been established for noninvasive detection of relevant CAD. However, little is kno...

Myocardial perfusion 3-Tesla cardiac magnetic resonance vs. exercise electrocardiogram for diagnosics of coronary artery disease

Introduction Myocardial perfusion cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is established as a high sensitive procedure to diagnose coronary artery disease (CAD). In practice exercise electrocardigram (XECG) is widely used as non invasive method to detect relevant coronary stenosis (>50%). The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic perfomance of adenosin stress 3-Tesla cardiac MRI ...

1.5 and 3 Tesla quantification of myocardial perfusion reserve in comparison to fractional flow reserve

Methods Thirty-four patients referred for coronary x-ray angiography with suspected or known coronary artery disease underwent cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) at 1.5 and 3 Tesla, and additionally FFR measurement in LAD, CX and RCA. MPR was calculated in 544 myocardial segments at both field strenghts. FFR was measured in 109 coronary arteries with a cut-off value of ≤0.8 for relevant s...

Combined myocardial stress perfusion imaging and myocardial stress tagging for detection of coronary artery disease at 3 Tesla

BACKGROUND Adenosine stress perfusion is very sensitive for detection of coronary artery disease (CAD), and yields good specificity. Standard adenosine cine imaging lacks high sensitivity, but is very specific. Myocardial tagging improves detection of wall motion abnormalities (WMAs). Perfusion and tagging cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) both benefit from high field imaging (improved co...

Diagnostic performance of 3T stress magnetic resonance myocardial perfusion imaging (MRMPI) using 32-channel cardiac coil in patients with coronary artery disease

Background/aim With newly available 32-channel cardiac coil, 3 tesla MRI system provides increased signal-to-noise radio (SNR), reduced imaging time and improved spatial resolution. This study sought to determine the diagnostic performance of 3T stress MRMPI with 32-channel cardiac coil in detecting clinical relevant coronary artery stenosis in comparison with invasive coronary angiography (ICA).
